Built by a Father & SonStartup
OverSpec started with a problem we couldn't ignore. When our R1S Quad Adventure arrived, we realized the factory interior setup was flawed: the center console was a giant empty void, and the stock cupholders rattled endlessly with normal-sized cups. We looked for an upgrade, but every aftermarket solution was the same story—flimsy trays that flexed, shallow holders that let 24oz bottles tip over, and cheap plastic that warped in the California summer heat.
"The Rivian is a premium, highly capable machine. Its interior hardware should reflect that."
As a father-and-son engineering team based out of Menlo Park, we don't settle for temporary fixes. What started as a CAD hobby learning Autodesk Fusion 360, quickly escalated into a full-scale obsession. We started rapidly iterating through complex geometries, dialing in the perfect tolerances on our Bambu Lab printers.
We approach every design with the same strict philosophy: over-engineer the solution so it never fails. Every OverSpec unit is made to order in our facility - no mass production, no injection-molded shortcuts to hit a price point. We originally engineered this system simply because we needed it for our own Rivian. Now, we're building it for other owners who refuse to settle for cheap accessories.
